What this site does

helicoptertoursguide.com is an independent guide to helicopter tours by destination. For each place we check what is actually bookable, how much of the booking is air time rather than check-in and transfer, what the operator requires from a passenger, and what the flight costs once heliport fees, fuel surcharges and second-seat weight charges are counted.

We are not an air operator, a travel agency or a booking agent. Every booking is completed on the operator's or platform's own site, where the final fare, the passenger rules and the cancellation terms are confirmed.

How flights get listed

Listings come from GetYourGuide and Viator. A flight makes a destination page when it meets all of the following:

• A public rating from real bookings, with enough reviews to be meaningful. Anything rated below 4.3 is left out.
• An operator who states the route, the air time and the aircraft's seating up front.
• A fare that either includes heliport fees and surcharges or says plainly what is collected separately.
• A cancellation policy stated before payment. Most flights here cancel free up to 24 hours before; where one is sold non-refundable we say so.

Nobody pays to appear here, and no operator has a say in the order flights are shown or in what is written about them.

What we check on every destination page

• Air time. Minutes airborne, separately from check-in, weigh-in, briefing and any coach transfer.
• Passenger rules. The weight threshold for a second seat, minimum ages, and whether children fly on a lap.
• Flight type. Whether the aircraft lands, and where — a flyover and a glacier landing are not the same product.
• Real cost. The headline fare against the add-ons: heliport fees, fuel surcharges, park fees and photo packages.
• Season and weather. When the destination flies reliably, and where cancellations for cloud are routine rather than rare.

How this site makes money

When you book through a link here, GetYourGuide or Viator pays a commission at no extra cost to you. That funds the research and keeps the site free. It does not change what you pay, and it does not decide what gets recommended: the platforms pay the same rate whichever flight you pick.

Fares, seasons and operator rules change. If something here is out of date, tell us at info@helicoptertoursguide.com and it gets fixed.
