What affects the price?
One landing is the standard hour. Two takes you to a glacier as well as a geothermal field; three reaches the highlands. Each landing adds both time and fuel.
Reykjanes has erupted repeatedly since 2021 in episodes lasting days to months. When a fissure is active the flights are extraordinary; between episodes they show fresh lava fields and steam.
Wind, not cold, is the constraint. Iceland's weather changes hourly and flights are cancelled and rebooked frequently.
In December there are around four usable hours of light; in June there is no darkness at all. That changes what slots exist far more than temperature does.
